A WATER FILTRATION STRAW THAT FITS IN YOUR POCKET
Access to clean water is a fundamental human right that many people around the world still struggle to obtain. In many regions, individuals must walk for kilometers or spend hours each day just to collect enough clean water for their basic needs. The availability of clean water is crucial for maintaining good hygiene, preventing diseases, and promoting overall health.
To tackle this issue, in 1999, swiss company Vestergaard developed plastic pipe filters in collaboration with The Carter Center, an NGO, to combat Guinea worm disease by filtering out Guinea worm larvae. Then, in 2005, the company came up with the LifeStraw, providing a reliable and practical way to access clean drinking water in even the toughest conditions. Now, they have released an upgraded version called the Peak Solo, a compact and lightweight portable device designed to filter drinking water, allowing users to easily carry it around in their pockets. With this small tool, they can drink straight from lakes, rivers, and streams or fill a container by filtering out bacteria, parasites, microplastics, silt, sand, and cloudiness.

LIFESTRAW CREATES A SURVIVAL TOOL FOR CHALLENGING ENVIRONMENTS
After 17 years after its creation, the company redesigns the iconic LifeStraw and introduces the Peak Series, an elevated water filtration solution. With its 28mm threading, the tool can be easily attached to most standard water bottles, so users can fill up their bottles with water from any source. The convenient one-handed flip cap enables quick and effortless filtration while on the move, allowing users to fill up a 1L bottle in just 20 seconds.
The straw is crafted of BPA-free materials, featuring top and bottom caps designed to prevent leaks. The filter effectively minimizes clogging caused by sand and silt, resulting in an improved flow rate over an extended period. The long-lasting membrane microfilter is capable of filtering up to 4,000 L (1,000 gallons) of water. With this capacity, a single LifeStraw can provide enough drinking water for one person for over five years.
